The 33rd release on Bloxham Tapes is a musical debut from Greg Butler, wearing the apron of OVENGLOVELOVE.

No ready meal, no fast food, 'Mutual Grooming' has been painstakingly sliced, diced, chopped, reshaped, marinated and simmered during midwinter lockdown – and represents another aspect of this filmmaker's – 'The Ambiguity of David Thomas Broughton' (2015), amongst others – art practice.

Chef Greg dissects the earful of hors d'oeuvres, thus: "A cocktail of crappy instruments, domestic items, groaning and phone recordings made whilst wheeling bikes round train stations, the north Lincolnshire countryside and the East Sussex coastline, offcuts from abandoned film projects, the remnants and reminders of past failures and frustrations cut up and mangled to tabla."

'Mutual Grooming': reality sandwiches or naked lunch? That's between you and your palate. But however you consume this sonic palette, this audio feast, this fusion cuisine, enjoy your very own frozen moment as you see what is on the end of every fork...
