Bloxham Tapes is delighted to present its 26th release: 'Tending The Vortex' by XIMES (pronounced Zeems). Quoth XIMES: "Ximes, named after a town in Clark Ashton Smith's fictional land of Averoigne, brings us psych/folk/drone/tape/field recordings/sound art/satanic surf jam/spoken word/alchemy. Influences: Rain Drinkers, Voice of the Seven Woods, Natural Snow Buildings."

Quoth Bloxham Tapes: "Colossal feedback bergs ridden by skittering gamelan armies drag nimble Bailey/Carthy guitars across enormous astral ancestral plains... here be four mind-blowing compositions for deep-sleep telepaths and dormant past-life regressives everywhere... and in the bottomless caverns of interstellar space, where atoms are wrenched apart, a disembodied Florian Fricke dreams his dosed dreams, in which the gargantuan granite blocks of Atlantis make their slow ascent into the sky, emerging victorious into the glittering open skies of forever once more..."
